Before the Challenge



I need to remember ... I CAN, I WILL, I MUST. I need to make sure when I am participating in the challenge to listen to my iPod, so that I don’t focus too much on my rowing. I have to make sure I don’t look at the rowing screen so that I don’t watch the 10000m sign slowly ticking down. I find in gym sessions I watch the metres slowly tick down and this makes me feel like giving up because it isn’t clocking down very fast. I have decided I am going to row 1km at 100% and then 1km at 80% and carry this pattern on. I need to make sure I don’t burn out quickly as I have 10km to do. This also gives me a wee break to gather my breath. I just need to be positive and believe I can achieve this and I should be fine.
